Forward

Transmission Arm rotates down and away from Engine Pulley "tightening" Drive Belt, producing forward motion.
Reverse

Transmission Arm rotates up toward Engine Pulley Hub "loosening" Belt and causing Hub and Reverse Disk to "contact", producing
reverse motion.
